What is Ganoderma Lucidum?

Ganoderma Lucidum (also known as Reishi and Lingzhi) has been used by traditional Asian medicine since ancient times to promote health, vitality and strength of immunity in human beings.

Ganoderma is a mushroom that is commonly used in modern medicine. It acts as a stimulant, as well as an immune booster, due to the anti-inflammatory antiviral antioxidant properties. This mushroom can also directly stimulate the activity of human natural killer cells, thereby increasing and stimulating their levels.

Ganoderma also has anti-depressant properties, as well as analgesic and antibacterial properties. It is used to treat hepatitis and bronchitis among other infectious diseases.

Reishi mushrooms belong to the Ganodermataceae family of basidiomycetes and have long been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) to increase vitality and extend lifespan. Reishi extract is a mixture of bioactive compounds, including polysaccharides (polysaccharides), triterpenes (triterpenes) and proteins that have a range of biological effects, including antiinflammatory, immunomodulatory, and diabetes treatment1. Ganoderic Acid A has also been shown to have a number of biological activities such as anti-inflammatory effects, immunomodulatory properties and diabetes treatment1.

Reishi mushrooms form a major component of many natural products, especially those produced and distributed in Japan. Reishi is used widely in skincare products, food products and traditional medicines.

Reishi is an immune stimulant composed of over 100 oxygenated triterpenes. It was studied for its ability stimulate natural killer cell activation and boost overall immune system. Reishi has also been shown to have antiviral properties, anti-inflammatory and wound healing qualities. In addition, it reduces the oxidative stresses in the liver. Furthermore, Reishi can protect against radiation- and chemotherapy-induced toxicity in rats.

How is Ganoderma Lucidum raised?

Ganoderma lucidum (commonly known as "red "reishi") is one of the many species that are called "red "reishi." This bracket or'shelf fungus' has an attractive, reddish brown hue. It can grow to over 40 inches long, wide, and 4 inch thick. The adaptogenic properties of this fungus are believed to be beneficial for healing. Ganoderma alone has over 400 varieties, with applanatum (for medicinal purposes) and lucidum (for aesthetic purposes).

Ganoderma - also known as Reishi or Ganoderma by East Asian cultures - is a polypore fungal species that belongs to the Polyporales family of basidiomycota. It has long been cultivated to enhance immunity and improve health. Reishi is known to reduce stress, increase longevity and improve sexual vigilance. This reishi formula combines the powder, capsules, and extract forms.

The purpose of this study was to determine the optimal growth parameters for G. Lucidum using potato-dextrose-agar (PDA), plates and slants. Our results showed the mycelial expansion increased as temperature rose up to 30degC. It then peaked, and then decreased.

Medicinal mushrooms have a positive impact on human health, and are highly valued around the globe. Ganoderma lucidum has been a popular mushroom variety for many years. It is valued by its many health advantages and is known as the red or "king" of medicinal mushrooms.

Reishi (in Chinese), is used to treat conditions such as hypertension, sleep disorders and other diseases. The fungus is rich in active compounds, such as polysaccharides (polysaccharides) and triterpenes (triterpenes), which may contribute towards its medicinal qualities.

Reishi mushrooms thrive best on hardwood trees like oak, birch, beech and alder trees but can also be found growing wild along hedges and parkwaysides. Reishi has been used as medicine for over 4000 years as it is recognized for its health-strengthening, anti-inflammatory and immune-supportive qualities as well as being rich in minerals such as iron potassium and zinc.

Why is Ganoderma Lucidum a good thing?

Ganoderma Lucidum possesses powerful antioxidant and immune-enhancing properties, notably its polysaccharide beta-glucans. This powerful medicinal herb has also shown evidence that it can help protect against harmful free radicals.

Maca is a powerful adaptogen. It provides balance and support for times of stress. Thanks to its abundance beta-glucans. These enhance immune function while encouraging circulation health.

Reishi is also known as Rei-sheng in Japanese. It is believed to have anti-inflammatory properties, aid mental and physical endurance and relieve fatigue and depression, while improving sleep and increasing energy.

Ganoderma lucidum helps lower cholesterol through its polysaccharides, such as triterpenes (which can reduce blood cholesterol and triglyceride), and beta glucans (which contain beta glucans). cafe ganoderma organo gold These polysaccharides can decrease LDL levels (bad cholesterol) while increasing HDL levels.

G. lucidum extracts in both form (ethanolic and water-soluble) contain many of the same beneficial components that water-soluble extracts do; however, due to an inability of ethanolic extraction to separate triterpenes and polysaccharides from one another for maximum effectiveness it is wise to take both forms together for maximum benefits.

Studies have shown that G. Lucidum can inhibit adipocytes differentiation and produce hypoglycaemic effect, as well promote immune function to enhance resistance against diseases. Reishi also contains polysaccharides that have shown efficacy.

Ganoderma Lucidum is a unique mushroom because of the growing conditions it requires. Harvesting can also be challenging: 1 kg of product requires harvesting from 1,000kg of spores! Additionally, collecting them without chopping requires special methods - making it one of more expensive supplements! Our water-soluble Reishi mushroom extract combines spores with mycelium, and the lucidum hat into a potent blend that offers maximum benefits and unique health properties. Each part has unique properties and health benefits: for example, spores are high in antioxidants that support immune health. Mycelium is a network of connected cells with antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral properties. Finally the Lucidum Cap contains powerful polysaccharides known to reduce inflammation.

Reishi mushroom can be used in a variety of ways. Some people add it directly to their cooking, while other people take capsules or powdered supplement containing it. It has shown to be effective in treating a variety conditions, including cancer, high blood pressure, arthritis and chronic fatigue.

Reishi's Polysaccharides are immunostimulatory and promote the proliferation T and B lymphocytes and splenic monocytes. They also stimulate natural killer (NK), dendritic and splenic cells.

Organo Gold’s approach to mushroom culture is natural, resulting in more Ganodermaspores which are used for its Poudre des Spores Ganoderma. The mushrooms produced using plastic bags are rarer and therefore worth less. Our Ganoderma Spores, which look like fine rice powder, can only be harvested when the mushroom reproduces naturally and cannot be replicated artificially. This special spore powder is needed to produce just one kilogram of Reishi mushrooms for our Poudre de Spores Ganoderma!
