Muutan tässä Kaliforniaan ja tarvitsisin neuvoja, mistä etsiskellä käytettyä pyörää. Craigslist ja Ebay on tiedossa mutta onko muita vinkkejä?

Vähän vetää aiheesta sivuun mutta äkkiseltään veikkaisin että tappi on siinä takamatkustajaa varten. Tai sitten kuskille vaihtoehtoinen asento jaloille.
Itse asiassa ameriikankatalogista löytyy softaileihin keskitappisarjaa (myös oikealle puolelle) nimenomaan "taaemmiksi lepuutustapeiksi". Olisin ostanut hyllyn tyhjäksi - keskitappifriikki kun olen - mutta sitten kävi karu totuus ilmi, eihän niihin tullutkaan jarru- ja vaihdepolkimien paikkoja.

Kerrankin asia, josta minulla on varmaa tietoa, oman orggis '75 FLH:n perusteellahemuli kirjoitti:Vähän vetää aiheesta sivuun mutta äkkiseltään veikkaisin että tappi on siinä takamatkustajaa varten.
Se on takamatkustajan tappi, toisella puolella pitäisi olla samanlainen ja ihan yhtä huonossa paikassa. Aivan karmea viritys, jos siinä on kyytiläinen mukana. Kuskin jalka ei mahdu mistään välistä kunnolla maahan liikennevaloissa, pitää kurkotella astinlaudan yli. Matkustajan jalat yltävät noille tapeille vain tuolta Buddyseatilta, eivät tarkkapenkeiltä lainkaan, jos on soolosatula asennettu.Lisäksi tuo penkki on todella ahdas kahdelle hoikallekin ihmiselle. Selkänojan pehmuste siinä on lisävaruste, metallikaiteet vakiona

Tärkeintä kai on että title on "clean" eli myyjä on sama kuin otteessa omistaja. Sitten kun olette kaupat tehneet on allekirjoitettu title syytä käydä paikallisella notaarilla leimautettavana, maksaa muutaman taalan. Samalla kannattaa kirjoittaa vapaamuotoinen "bill of sale" eli kuitti josta käy ilmi että Mr. X on myynyt Hra Y:lle moottoripyörän VIN# FL123456 hintaan jotain taalaa. Tämä sitten myös leimautetaan samalla notaarikäynnillä.jty kirjoitti:...miten kauppa on lainvoimainen?
Noilla papereilla onnistuu maastavienti, notaarin leimojakaan ei kaikissa osavaltioissa vaadita mutta ei niistä haittaakaan ole.
Jos käytät jotain kolmatta osapuolta pyörän rahtaamiseen Suomeen, pitää hänelle kirjoittaa valtakirja (power of attorney) jossa annat tälle taholle valtuudet hoitaa pyörän maastavientiin liittyvät toimenpiteet.
